There will be a brief business session at 7:00 pm, followed by the program & refreshments. Free and open to the public. Bring a friend.
Thursday’s snow storm has given rise to a last-minute program change for Friday evening’s meeting. We welcome long-time historical society member and former president, Al Orlomoski, for the display and discussion of his extension collection of Native American projectile tips and other artifacts. Al has tramped the local woods and fields of Canterbury for many decades and uncovered treasures in the process. Emeritus State Archeologist Nick Bellantoni calls this one of the most noteworthy private collections he’s seen. Come and have a look for yourself.
But even if you aren’t a member, our monthly history-themed programs are free and the public is warmly invited. The business session starts at 7:00. If you want to skip it and come just for the program, arrive about 7:30.
The Canterbury Historical Society’s regular monthly meetings are normally on the second Friday evening of the month unless otherwise noted. We do not meet in July and August, when we take a summer break, however, we often hold special events in the summer.
