Jeremy D’Entremont on “New England Lighthouses and the People Who Kept Them”

04/11/2014 - 7:00 pm
Community Room of the Canterbury, CT Town Hall
1 Municipal Drive - Canterbury, CT 06331

There will be a brief business session at 7:00 pm, followed by program & refreshments.

Who doesn’t find lighthouses fascinating and picturesque? Please join us for this presentation by Jeremy D’Entremont, the author of hundreds of articles and more than ten books on lighthouses and other maritime subjects, and considered to be the leading expert on New England’s historic lighthouses. He has appeared on both the History Channel and the Travel Channel, as well as Public TV and National Public Radio; is the founder of the Friends of the Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouses in New Hampshire; and serves as the historian for the American Lighthouse Foundation. His presentation for us, featuring a combination of new and historic photos along with audio and video clips, will of course cover some of Connecticut’s lighthouses.

Our programs are free and the public is warmly invited. Bring a friend and stay for complimentary refreshments. We will do our best to make you feel welcome.
