06/14/2014 - 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Green District School
South Canterbury Road (RT 169) at Library Road - Canterbury, CT 06331

On Open House Day, stop by and experience Canterbury’s 19th century Green District Schoolhouse, which has been fully restored by the Canterbury Historical Society. Bring the children and let them discover what school used to be like. Enjoy photo displays of Canterbury’s other one-room district schools, their teachers and students. Chat with friendly people volunteering in the school that day.

On Open House Day, Connecticut residents and visitors are invited to discover–and rediscover–the state’s exciting arts, history, and tourism offerings with a variety of special incentives, such as discounted or free admission, free gifts or special exhibits and activities. Open House Day is a great way for you to experience all the state and share it with your visiting family and friends. The annual event is coordinated by the Connecticut Office of Tourism, a division of the Department of Economic & Community Development.
