No Canterbury Old Home Day in 2020
05/06/2020

We have come to the decision to cancel this year’s annual Canterbury Old Home Day fall celebration, as it requires extensive planning that should have already begun but has been stymied by a lack of volunteers to work on the planning committee—which couldn’t meet regardless, based on current COVID-19 restrictions. To us, it’s understandable that people need to concentrate more on the here and now rather than on a future event that may or may not happen, depending on the status of the world in future months. It’s our hope to put together some sort of community event once the threat of illness has passed, but for now nothing is definite.

As always, check back on this website and follow us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/CanterburyHistoricalSociety.CT) for information and updates on scheduled events. We wish you good health in the coming days and look forward to seeing you all again as soon as we are given specific guidance that this health and safety challenge is behind us. Be well and be safe.
