Karen Stevens presents “Vanishing America—the Outhouse”

After our annual summer hiatus, when we don't meet in July and August, Canterbury Historical Society regular monthly meetings/programs resume in September. Welcome back and hope you had a great summer.
.
old outhouseAt the September meeting, Karen Stevens of Scotland, Connecticut, will present an illustrated journey down a nostalgic path, past the old woodpile and on to the outhouse. Learn more than you might think you want to know about the history and lore of the little shack out back.

If you have outhouse photo(s), please contact us ahead of time so we can learn about your example(s) prior to the program. Or, if you are the proud possessor of an outhouse in our area, we’d love to photograph and otherwise document it—please contact Alton Orlomoski at 546-9062.

Free and open to the public; everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be served after the program. Bring a friend!
