Colonial Gravestones of the Historic Cleaveland Cemetery

Location: 52 North Canterbury Road, Canterbury
Additional Info: Pets are NOT welcome. There is a small incline into the cemetery. Limited parking is available at the old Canterbury Cones parking area, 57 North Canterbury Road across from The Pillars.

Join Colonial gravestone expert, David Malloy, for a walk through the Colonial gravestones of the historic Cleaveland Cemetery, Canterbury’s first public burying grounds. Highlights of the walk will include stones carved by some of the area’s most prominent early gravestone carvers such as the Mannings, Obadiah Wheeler, John Hartshorne, Richard Kimball and more. This walk was so popular last year, we decided to do it again this year! No registration required.

Location: 208 South Canterbury Road, Canterbury
Additional Info: Pets are NOT welcome. Parking is available in the cemetery or near the stone walls on the outside. The ground is spongy so wear appropriate footwear.
